Polymerization furnace structure description

The furnace housing is weld-fabricated steelworks.
The furnace frame is made of sheet steel 1.5 mm thick, the outer casing — of sheet steel 1 mm thick, coated with powder paint, the inner casing and air ducts — of galvanized sheet steel 1 mm and 1.5 mm thick.
Insulation — 100 mm ROCKMIN mineral wool.
Door seal — heat resistant silicone sealant.

Ribbed tubular heating elements (RTHE) made of stainless steel are used in this furnace, which allows efficient and quick heat exchange between the heating element and the heated air, and also ensures the durability of the heating element.
The furnace is equipped with a convection fan for uniform heating of the whole inner volume.

To remove gaseous polymerization products of powder paints, the furnace is equipped with an exhaust fan, which is automatically switched on at the end of each cycle.

With production PLC and temperature sensors, the furnace automatically heats up to the set temperature and maintains it for a set time with subsequent sending a signal to the operator about the completion of the polymerization process.

The furnace is controlled through the switchboard which houses the main components of the electrical circuit.
Owing to the intuitive human-machine interface on the operator’s touchscreen panel, the adjustment of the process parameters is allowed (polymerization temperature, polymerization time, ventilation time, etc.), as well as equipment status monitoring.
In the event of an emergency, the furnace controller will stop the process and inform the operator about the nature of the failure, allowing to save time for diagnostics and debugging of the damaged mechanism.
